Volt is immediately hiring an Industrial Facilities Electrician in Sherman, TX.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDirect Hire\r\n\tDay shift hours\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As an Industrial Facilities Electrician you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tInterpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems. Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.\r\n\tProvide adequate services to ensure that all electrical systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet building codes and safety standards.\r\n\tPerform maintenance duties including maintaining Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules, PM reports, troubleshooting reports and re-order, maintain and organize equipment spare parts.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tResponds to Facility Work Orders from building occupants. \r\n\tPerform acceptance tests of new equipment.\r\n\tIndustrial fixed, rotating, and electrical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors and fans.\r\n\tInspect the installation of equipment and systems for conformance with plans and specifications.\r\n\tPrepare or modify existing operating and maintenance procedures.\r\n\tSupport complex troubleshooting of facilities equipment and associated failures.\r\n\tPartner with Engineers and Technicians on various facilities projects\r\n\tMust be on-call and work off-hours when necessary to maintain efficient operation of facilities.\r\n\tConsistently works on complex assignments with a high degree of independence and initiative to resolve root cause.\r\n\tWork from technical manuals, specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal instruction.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tJourneyman Electrical License\r\n\tKnowledge of NFPA/NEC Standards\r\n\tKnowledge of low voltage (less than 600 AC/DC)\r\n\tAbility to diagnose, repair, and replace or design plant control circuits and equipment.\r\n\tAbility to troubleshoot low and high voltage controls.\r\n\tMust be able to read and understand blueprints. \r\n\tAbility to make decisions on day-to-day building operations where judgment and initiative is required. Determining the best procedures and methods to be used in building projects.\r\n\tAbility to analyze problems, make recommendations to the Facility Manager and implement agreed to solutions.\r\n\tStrong interpersonal/teaming skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including training\r\n\tFamiliarity with ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $40.00 – 55.00/hour

\r\n\r\n
