Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for both technical systems and facility management? Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital located in Latham, NY is seeking a Facilities and Equipment/Information Technology Liaison to join our team! This hybrid role combines the best of both worlds: maintaining cutting-edge veterinary medical equipment and ensuring seamless technology operations.
Compensation:
As a Facilities and Equipment/IT Technician, you’ll split your time between two key areas:Medical Equipment & Facilities MaintenanceResearch, procure, and maintain medical equipment.Schedule and oversee repairs and preventive maintenance.Manage service contracts, warranties, and repair logs.Provide new equipment recommendations and staff training. Oversee building and grounds upkeep, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.Direct custodial teams and maintenance schedules.Maintain user manuals and compliance documentation.Information Technology SupportServe as the main point of contact for IT issues, coordinating with Ethos IT Services and vendors.Support enterprise application solutions and system updates.Analyze and resolve IT-related challenges to improve hospital efficiency.Manage data integrity, security, and create user guides/SOPs.Lead small to medium-scale technology projects.Through these responsibilities, you'll directly contribute to the success of Capital District’s mission of delivering exceptional veterinary care.

You're a versatile, detail-oriented professional with a passion for problem-solving. You’re just as comfortable fixing a piece of equipment as you are configuring a software system.
Requirements:Facilities Expertise:Fundamental knowledge of hospital equipment and building systems.At least one year of experience in hospital equipment and building maintenance.Certifications in facility/equipment maintenance are a plus.Technology Know-How:Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience with veterinary/medical systems or similar.Expertise in SaaS platforms, system configuration, and process improvement.Bonus: Experience with tools like ServiceNow, QuickBase, or Smartsheet.Skills You’ll Need:Strong communication and collaboration skills.Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivation and a proactive approach to work.ABOUT US:
