The Facilities Infrastructure Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination, installation and replacement of building infrastructure systems and equipment. This position is also accountable to manage small scale renovations and space modifications. This position provides technical expertise for building infrastructure systems and identifies opportunities to maintain and improve the reliability of existing facilities infrastructure systems. Working under limited supervision, this role is responsible for analyzing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, heat transfer, refrigeration, electrical distribution systems, medium voltage electrical transmission, and building automation systems.

Prepares engineering recommendations for equipment upgrades, adjustments, and replacements.
Performs root cause failure analysis of systems and equipment. Prepares detailed condition assessment of facilities and infrastructure, including replacement versus repair cost analysis. Maps building and infrastructure systems including the development of diagnostic procedures.
Conducts facility audits, including physical testing of HVAC and electrical systems, data gathering, and system analysis, to achieve optimal facility operation.
Performs energy Conservation analysis and make recommendations regarding energy consumption considering the related mission of substantiality.
Ensures compliance with the organization's standards in every aspect of the project including scope, definitions, contract documents, design, drawings, and construction.
Identifies building mechanical and electrical problems impacting energy consumption utilizing all available systems and tool; analyzes heating, cooling, ventilation, controls and lighting systems to determine optimum operating conditions.
Manages the repository for property construction drawings and close-out documents after construction.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma, or equivalent
Strongly preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
EXPERIENCE:Required: For High School diploma - minimum of ten years' experience managing healthcare renovation and infrastructure projects. For Associate or Bachelor’s Degree - Minimum of five years' experience managing healthcare renovation and infrastructure projects.
Preferred - Minimum of 10 years' experience managing healthcare facility renovations and infrastructure projects.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Preferred: Mechanical Engineering (HVAC & BCS); CEM (certification highly desirable); CHFM/CHC
