Facilities Technician

Description - External

Job Duties:

The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the facilities and some of the common use equipment used in the operations of a facility. They work with various tools and perform tasks such as electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance and equipment inspections. Complete work requests regularly and perform preventative maintenance, complying with safety standards at all times.

· Daily visual management board update

· Preventative Maintenance

· General machine repair

· Answer immediate concerns and pages

· Sidewalk, etc. snow removal and salting

· Lawn care, Landscape and all other outside maintenance needs

· Bathroom issues

· Handling off hours urgent matters

· Capital Improvement projects planning and coordination

· Outside Contractor coordination and management: (Electrical, HVAC, Data, Production machine repair and replacement, Snow removal, Hoists inspections, Arc Flash and Infrared, etc.)

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - External

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 3 to 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role preferred

· Machine repair experience a plus

· Understanding of preventative maintenance concepts

· Attention to detail

· Proven work ethic and positive attitude

· Ability to work independently and provide tactical suggestions

· Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

· Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment

· Industrial electrician certificate a plus
