Purpose: 

The job holder works as part of a team in a high-pressure manufacturing environment with strong emphasis on meeting operational goals and targets.


Scope of Responsibilities:


Works closely with EA Plant Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance groups to maintain the quality and uptime performance of process, utilities, and facilities systems in building W216Monitors, maintains, repairs and communicates status of Chilled water systems, Cooling Towers, RO/DI water systems, Hot Glycol Boilers, Air Handling Units (AHU), Domestic water heating, Compressed Air & Air Dryers, Humidification boiler and humidifiers, Domestic water metering, and any other facilities related equipmentReports to the EA Engineering Manager for direction and collaboration on decisions pertaining to PM’s, equipment repairs, and improvements Will provide assistance and support to other groups in the plant in order to enable efficient uptime performance as it relates to facilities equipmentParticipates in housekeeping activities as required Performs all tasks in accordance with W216 Environmental and Safe Job ProceduresHelp Support manufacturing activities to enable production objectivesOperate, monitor and maintain equipment in support of production


Candidate Education Preferred:  


Stationary Engineer, Boiler Operator, Industrial Refrigeration, or Acceptable Skills and Experience to Perform Job Responsibilities.  

Certifications/Licenses: EPA 608 Technician Certification preferred.  Fork Truck/Powered Lift License preferred.  Pesticide Licensing.


Preferred Requirements:


Universal Class Refrigerant License to facilitate safe handling.Five years of Facilities Maintenance experienceKnowledge and experience with chemical, mechanical and physical processes and the ability to trouble-shoot process and equipment issuesAble to interpret Process Flow Diagrams and Process System P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Drawings).Able to interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings.Able to use protective equipment, including safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, respiratory protection, hearing protection, etc.Able to work at heights and in confined/enclosed spacesDemonstrated understanding of process control principles and their application to building environment and plant servicesAbility to interrogate, control and troubleshoot facility processes and diagnose equipment issuesDemonstrated ability to identify and repair both mechanical, heating/cooling, piping and electrical equipment defectsProven ability to relate well in a people-oriented and team environmentProvide off shift support/guidance.  Regular schedule would be daytime M-F.Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment is requiredComputer literacy - knowledgeable/competent in MS applications (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel)
