Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (Teradyne, Agoura Hills, CA)
Our purpose We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance on building support systems & equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, working with our outside vendors when applicable and scheduling preventive maintenance for the building, providing a satisfying, safe workplace environment for our employees. You will work full-time onsite at our Agoura Hills facility but will also support field offices as needed ** Car is required. Opportunity Overview + Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, adjustments, and repairs of building support equipment (chiller plant equipment, HVAC, air compressors, water/vacuum pumps, boilers, ceiling, drywalls, flooring, etc.) + Troubleshoot equipment failures, make needed repairs or and summon external vendor help as approved + Utilize hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools to complete assigned tasks effectively. Coordinate with internal employees to calibrate tools as needed + Escort external vendors to assure all contracted preventive maintenance as well as approved repair work is sufficiently carried out and completed + Monitor BMS system to make adjustments to ensure HVAC, Chillers, Boilers are working efficiently. + Assist with capital projects by external vendors involving installation, relocation or replacement of equipment as needed. + Repair and reconfigure cubicle offices, conference room furniture, mtg setup as needed + Trouble shoot network cabling issue as needed + Perform repairs to drywalls, doors, ceiling, and repaint as needed + Update maintenance logs and reports as required. + Updated Waste management reports weekly and quarterly. + Perform periodic inspections as required by insurance companies and or OSHA + Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Comply with company policies related to safe equipment and machinery use + Obtain technical certification or licenses as required to perform above building maintenance tasks + Support department effort on 24/7 to resolve / restore emergencies, including but not limited to building structures, equipment failures, plumbing or gas leaks, fire alarm system troubles, power failure and restore, etc. in a timely manner All About You + Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field preferred. + Experience: 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a related role, with a proven track record of handling building maintenance tasks. + Experience with building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. + Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints. + Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting. + Excellent written / communication / organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. + Handle stress effectively without it interfering with performance + Full-time position with possible overtime, weekend, and on-call work as needed. Respond to after-hour alarms, alerts from BMS, and security for the office building. Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $52,000-80,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location. Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
