**Position Description:**
Performs supervisory and participatory work in the advanced repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Responsibilities include the supervision of a work crew involved in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of equipment, furnishings, and various other structures and fixtures. Supervises Facilities Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Supervises the Installation, maintenance, operation, construction and repair of building systems and associated equipment.
+ Works with other trades and maintenance staff to complete maintenance and installation of other building systems.
+ Prepare and submit work documentation, to include work order submission, changes to system (e.g. directories), etc.
+ Install and maintain special systems and equipment such as modular furniture, telecom, kitchen equipment, life safety systems, hoods, etc.
+ Coordinates and assists with the coordination of construction and external service work internally or by others.
+ Responds to work related radio and pager calls.
+ Contributes with knowledge and skilled labor to construction and renovation projects of the institution.
+ Responds to emergency calls to correct or remediate the problem.
+ Responsible for keeping all work areas, equipment and tools clean and in excellent working conditions.
+ Performs all preventive maintenance on assigned systems and equipment.
+ Performs other related and various job duties as assigned including but not limited to function set-ups/clean-ups and general services.
+ Must have and maintain valid State of Texas Driver's License and be listed as an approved driver as determined by Risk Management and insurance carrier. Must be able to pass the employee Criminal Background Check.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
