Location: Lake Orion, MI
Pay Rate: $44.05 per hour (Temp to Perm)

Schedule:

Third Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Unique Rotating Schedule:

Work 8 days, then enjoy 4 days off (Friday – Monday)

Work 7 days, then recharge with 2 days off (Tuesday – Wednesday)

We’re looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician (Operating Engineer) to take charge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in a dynamic, hands-on role. What You’ll Do:Be the Eyes and Ears of the Facility

Monitor gauges, meters, and computerized control systems to keep everything running at peak performance

Inspect pipes, valves, fluid levels, and electrical systems for potential issues before they become problems

Log daily readings and make adjustments to optimize performance

Keep Equipment in Top Shape

Perform preventative maintenance—lubricate moving parts, swap out filters, and keep corrosion at bay

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Master the Big Systems

Operate and maintain chillers, cooling towers, and boilers to ensure efficient energy use

Conduct water quality testing and maintain chemical treatments

Perform daily rounds, inspecting equipment for optimal function

Lead Safety and Compliance Efforts

Stay on top of safety regulations, fire codes, and hazardous materials protocols

Keep detailed maintenance logs and track repairs, inspections, and system upgrades

Work with outside contractors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective repairs

What You Bring to the Table

10+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, commercial building systems, or industrial equipment repair

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems—you know how to troubleshoot and fix it all

Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Comfortable with lifting 50+ pounds, climbing ladders, and working at heights or extreme temperatures

Ability to work independently and make real-time decisions that keep everything running smoothly

Certifications That Will Get You Noticed

EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)

High pressure boiler License (Required)

Trade school training in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC is a big plus

Pay Details: $44.05 per hour
