Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Details Job Location Fort Worth - 4201 Mitchell Blvd - Fort Worth, TX Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $26.00 - $26.00 Hourly Job Category Installation - Maint - Repair Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, janitorial, and grounds keeping to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment on Campus. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Maintenance: + Perform routine inspections of the facility and address maintenance needs. + Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems. + Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment and systems. + Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. + Janitorial Services: + Clean and sanitize designated areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces. + Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste. + Maintain cleanliness following established standards and protocols. + Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed. + Groundskeeping : + Maintain the exterior grounds, including lawns, walkways, and parking lots. + Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, and planting as needed. + Monitor and address issues related to irrigation systems. + Ensure that outdoor areas are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. + Safety and Compliance: + Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure environment for all occupants. + Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions. + Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards. + Record Keeping: + Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and cleaning schedules. + Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing projects and maintenance tasks. + Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation and + Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience and Competencies: + Proven experience in maintenance, janitorial services, and grounds keeping . + Basic plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance knowledge. + Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. + Physical stamina and the ability to lift/move heavy objects. + Excellent time management and organizational skills. + Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to implement them effectively. + Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality. + Professional appearance and demeanor. + Bilingual preferred. + Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to the populations served. + Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required. + Must be able to obtain and maintain background clearance. + During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you. + CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: + A High School diploma or its equivalent is required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: + Not applicable for this position. WORKING CONDITIONS: + Work is performed in a combination of an office and outdoor setting.
