Facilities Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, janitorial, and grounds keeping to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment on Campus.   Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the facility and address maintenance needs. Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems. Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment and systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Janitorial Services: Clean and sanitize designated areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces. Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste. Maintain cleanliness following established standards and protocols. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed. Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior grounds, including lawns, walkways, and parking lots. Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, and planting as needed. Monitor and address issues related to irrigation systems. Ensure that outdoor areas are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure environment for all occupants. Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and cleaning schedules. Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing projects and maintenance tasks.
