Your Role:

 

The Senior Level Facilities Technician will be primarily responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment. They will also supervise/monitor the activities of outside contractors/vendors to ensure compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards. Specific Responsibilities Include:

 

Perform daily rounds and reading, inspect all equipment and work areas for any mechanical/electrical problems or safety hazardsReview work plans and issue Safety Work Permits, including lockout/tagoutEffectively maintain safety documentationPerform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on central plant and facilities systems such as boilers, chillers, air handlers, vacuum systems, pumps, exhaust systems, acid waste neutralization systems etcUse SAP maintenance system to query for open work orders and planned maintenance jobsRespond to off hour call-ins for equipment alarms on a rotating on-call scheduleUtilize Building Monitoring System (BMS) to evaluate system readiness and execute changes to equipment set up and conditionCoordinate preventive maintenance activities with other groups (MFG/Labs/Technology) as requiredCoordinate with outside vendors and contractors as required to perform repairs, calibrations, or changes to building/equipmentPrioritize and work multiple tasks as dictated by business needsAssist with troubleshooting of down equipment

 

Who you are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in building facilities and/or central plant

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical safetyAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&ID’s etc.Knowledge of computers data entry and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, OutlookEfficient in communication both oral and writtenBasic Math SkillsSAP experienceControls/PLC experienceMilitary experience or technical diplomaAbility to work in a team environment
