Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are looking to add a Facilities Maintenance Technician to our team.  In this position you will be responsible for supporting our Austin facilities including our manufacturing operations.  This role has broad responsibilities ranging from maintenance of facilities and complex manufacturing equipment to working with contractors. The Facilities Technician will perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform hands-on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment including complex PCB manufacturing and test equipment.Perform a variety of carpentry, painting, electrical repair and maintenance duties.Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.Assemble various types of furniture and equipment.Participate in preventative maintenance programs for our manufacturing and office and facilities.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2 years of experience working in facilities maintenance Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.Work experience in one or more of the building trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry).Familiarity with construction management, fire safety requirements, and common construction codes.Must be computer literate.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Great problem-solving skills.PREFERRED EXPERIENCEKnowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations and experience supporting EH&S activities.CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.  Full-time employment offers include company stock options and a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability and retirement plans.   CesiumAstro, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
