Job Description
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of work including preventative maintenance and assistance in the repair of building and grounds in assigned areas.
ResponsibilitiesInspect assigned areas on a routine basis and perform maintenance where necessary to keep the facility in functioning and serviceable condition.Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures (work orders).Repair and maintain various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.Report any major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions.Essential Skills4-6 years of building maintenance experience within apartment complexes, hotels, or general property maintenance.Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis.Proficiency in communication skills including written, verbal, and email.Customer service experience in previous roles.Experience in painting, drywall, preventive maintenance, carpentry.EPA Universal certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working within maintenance at a hotel or apartment complex.Experience in a customer-focused environment (apartments, hotels, corporate facilities).Experience working on rooftop HVAC units.Familiarity with Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes.Work Environment
This position is based at a Hotel in the Back Bay area of Boston.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00
