**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the building property, company vehicles, and production equipment. This role involves working closely with Glass Production, Metal Production, Foreman, Administration, and other teams to ensure smooth operations. The technician will perform all other duties as required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Check with each department daily for any issues.
+ Fix any breakdowns on machines, vehicles, and property daily, including air compressors, building heat and air systems, trucks and trailers, overhead cranes, forklifts, and production equipment.
+ Maintain a weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedule.
+ Ensure the safe operation of all equipment.
+ Assist with the installation of new equipment.
+ Assist with the removal of old equipment.

**Work Environment**
First shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (hours may vary based on shift setup). The company specializes in windows and door systems, cutting glass to fit window treatments. The facility is generally clean with occasional glass fragments on the ground. The maintenance team consists of four members. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, long sleeves, or t-shirts. The candidate will have their own station to assemble products and work independently.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
