**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and enhance critical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. This position is based in DeSoto, Kansas, and offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with an hourly pay rate of $30.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine rounds on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairing using standard equipment and hand tools with moderate supervision.
+ Conduct well-defined troubleshooting and repair on facilities equipment with moderate supervision.
+ Work effectively with vendors, contractors, and tenants to ensure adherence to work rules with moderate supervision.
+ Detect faulty operations and defective materials, and report unusual situations to proper supervision.
+ Act as a first responder, quickly assessing and addressing utility outages and taking corrective measures as needed.
+ Regularly interface with Engineering, Construction, and other work groups, including tenants.
+ Maintain appropriate work-related records such as equipment maintenance records, general work orders, and maintenance request forms.
+ Adhere to all safety and company policies, safety regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
+ Utilize CMMS for documenting labor hours and equipment maintenance reporting.
**Essential Skills**
+ Intermediate skills in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
+ Ability to detect faulty operations and defective materials.
+ Capability to assess and rectify utility outages.
+ Proficiency in maintaining work-related records using CMMS.
+ Strong adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 6+ years of related work experience.
+ Experience in mechanical engineering or construction management.
+ Experience utilizing scheduling software.
+ Alignment with core principles such as contribution to society, fairness, honesty, cooperation, team spirit, improvement, courtesy, humility, adaptability, and gratitude.
+ Preferred licenses: PIT License, MEWP, State Issued Driver’s License.
+ Preferred certifications: CPR Certification, QET Certification, NFPA70E, OSHA 10 or 30, HAZWOPER 8 or 40.

**Work Environment**
This position involves working in an industrial environment with a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with day and night shifts available. The workweek consists of 40 hours, with 4 shift schedules. The physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 35 lbs. Team-lift is required for weights over 35 lbs. Pre-employment drug testing is required. The interview process is conducted virtually.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
