Facilities Maintenance Technician (All Shifts)

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the manufacturing facilities, grounds, and equipment in good working order. Leads will oversee, direct, and work with the facilities maintenance team on a daily basis, including scheduling and working with the team to complete all projects, maintenance request, and repairs in a timely manner.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Facilities Maintenance Technician:

Maintains a high level of customer service to all entities within the company. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Installs drywall, laminate, concrete, and other materials. Constructs walls, finishes, and trim.  Cleaning and painting of interior and exterior production spaces.  Installs and repairs plumbing, vacuum lines, air lines. Maintains facility grounds, using landscaping equipment, including but not limited to seasonal salting/sanding and snow removal of walkways and parking lots. Orders materials and tooling as needed. Hardware installation such as door handles, hinges, locks, etc., as well as assembling and moving furniture. Ability to operate equipment aerial lifts, forklifts, backhoes etc. Ability work work on scissor and boom lifts that extend to a height of 30'. Adheres to JI Safety, HazMat, and JI Policies. Works well both independently, and with others. Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or G.E.D. required, two-year technical certificate preferred. Previous experience in general facility maintenance or construction is preferred. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Wage range for this role is between $20 and $46 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
