Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Facilities Management Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Facilities Management Department (Operations and Maintenance).  Functions as a resource for staff members and provides technical support to the organization as needed.  The Maintenance Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and supervises other professional and non-professional staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 

Associates/Technical degree or equivalent experience required. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Two or more years of supervisory experience highly preferred. Experience in hospital Facilities Maintenance.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

Stationary Engineer license preferred. Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) preferred.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Be able to read and write English to interpret NFPA, JC, CMS, and other regulatory code.  Read and interpret building blueprints. Excellent team player.
