Facilities Manager, Selution (Irvine, CA)

This Facilities Manager is responsible for managing all operational and maintenance of the building and related facilities. This includes all exterior and interior parts of the building and related functional areas. **Responsibilities** • Manage a team of facilities/maintenance technicians (either FTE or contractor) to ensure that all activities required to repair/maintain building operations are performed in an efficient and timely manner. • Coordinate with service vendors to perform routine building operational activities. This includes pest control, supply replenishment, and other activities as needed. • Manage the security team to ensure that the safety of the site (both personnel and property) are kept safe. • Work with suppliers to repair equipment (as needed) • Troubleshoot and repair items within the facilities as needed • Coordinate disposal of waste (both common waste and hazardous waste) with vendors Manage service contractors. • Coordinate audits of disposal sites (as required). • 24‐hour responsibilities for directing or participating in facilities‐related activities; must be available on an as‐needed basis evenings and weekends. • Develop contractual resource network for support of plant operations. • Research and implement technical projects to enhance plant efficiencies. • Review and evaluate equipment proposals and provide technical insight in machine reliability, equipment spare parts inventory and budgetary installation guidelines. • Create and manage annual budgets for the Facilities department. • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors. • Coordinate with the Finance and Purchasing teams as needed for Purchasing and Supplier invoicing activities. • Establish and communicate short‐term goals in line with the department and company goals. • Oversee contracted security personnel. • Assist with other projects as the manufacturing team presents them. • Other tasks as required. **Qualifications** • 7+ years progressive experience in Facilities Management/Maintenance roles in an industrial setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 2+ years of previous budgeting and forecasting experience required. • Previous operations or management experience a must. • BS in Facilities Engineering; Safety or related field with CSP certification a plus • Must possess exceptional people leadership skills and have some experience managing staff (full-time and contractors) • Strong project and process management skills required as well as ability to track and measure performance metrics and results tracking. • Previous experience dealing with high level executives as this position will interact heavily with Directors and other executives. • Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, medical device, or other high‐technology environments highly preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: • Advanced knowledge of OSHA, and state and federal regulations • Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management and team members. • Project management and negotiating skills are required. • General technical understanding of manufacturing process, machine capabilities, facilities operations and automation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including frequent presentations to the senior management team and other groups. • Well organized and able to schedule multiple resources and activities ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Include whether or not position will be required to work in clean room, near or with heavy machinery, ability to lift heavy objects, ability to wear protective gear in lab, etc. • Work includes potential exposure to chemicals. Pay / Compensation The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $96,250 – $137,500 Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the listed range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
