Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will manage the direction and guidance of the housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds keeping staff. This is to ensure that the grounds, physical facilities, and all equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, kitchen, and roofing systems are clean, well-maintained and functioning.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will oversee maintenance of facility; inspect buildings, facilities, and equipment for damage and repair needs.
2. Direct and evaluate the work assigned and ensure that repairs are made.
3. Oversee staff including auditing/inspecting work of your team to ensure standards are met, hiring/terminating associates (with approval), scheduling, conducting performance management with staff (Reviews, address sub-standard performance and training.
4. Conduct staff meetings and ensure customer/employee relations.
5. You will enforce general Choctaw Nation and Casino policies, rules, practices, and other management control documents.
6. Determine and justify needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and stock supplies. Responsible for inventory/security of supplies.
7. Coordinate the maintenance and preservation of Nation and Casino equipment.
8. Respond quickly and resolve emergency facility needs/issues involving safety/security
9. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or 4 years directly related experienceKnowledge of mechanical systems concerning HVAC electrical, lighting, plumbing, and basic carpentry1+ years of experience handling large events concerning banquet and concert operationsmanage a budget and department costsDevelop the relationships needed to move us to a world-class organizationKnowledge of general safety rules, requirements, procedures, and reporting requirementsKnowledge of the operation/maintenance requirements on electrical, heating, cooling and related building mechanical systemsCentral Plant knowledge with multiple chillers exceeding 700 tons eachMaintain good public relationsFive plus (5+) years' experience in general construction, building maintenance, custodial and/or yard maintenance including hiring, evaluating, and coachingAbout the Choctaw Nation
