David Weekley Homes is seeking a Facilities Manager to support our Dallas New Home Center in Carrollton, TX. The successful candidate must be able to manage many projects involving maintenance, repairs and improvements to a 45,000 sq. ft. building. This position requires a team player who values delighting both internal and external customers alike!
Job Responsibilities:
Help lead the team for facilities maintenance, coordination, construction and upkeep (interior and exterior)Plans, budget and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimatesProject lead internal office moves and re-configurationsEnsure all break area supplies and equipment are in working orderCoordinate room set-up for meetingsAV/Video supportSecurity liaison as well as system/telecommunications back-up and supportSpecial events/project supportPerform minor repairs (touch up paint, adjustments, use tools, etc.)Inspect the building on a daily basis to monitor maintenance needs and tend to those needsCourier responsibilities 1-2 times a weekQualifications
Candidate Requirements:
5+ years of solid work experience in facilities maintenanceStrong customer service skillsInterpersonal skills and clear verbal and written communication skills (Spanish is a plus)Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, fire alarm and building emergency systemsExcellent time management & organization skillsAttention to detail and ability to deal effectively with numerous interruptions while prioritizing tasksProficient in MS Word, Excel, and OutlookSelf-starter and willing to take initiativeAny management/supervisory skills a plusAbility to work Monday – Friday and after hours as necessary; response to emergencies, as neededPhysical Demands & Environment: Work indoors and outdoors; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, climb and reachAdditional Information
