GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION:
As a facilities manager you are responsible for directing the activities indoor/outdoors of the facility/building, maintenance, automation, janitorial and grounds. The facilities manager you also support with the oversight of the housekeeping/janitorial tasks across the building. Supervises and coordinates workers for maximum productivity without sacrificing quality and service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
The Facilities Manager manages workforce needs, budgets, controls costs, coordinates service provider(s) and staff activities. Manage all functions pertaining to facilities maintenance indoor and outdoor, inclusive of preventive maintenance programs, repairs to the building, property, and all material handling equipment. Ensures that the maintenance and engineering departments meet all the state and local codes. Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical facility design modifications, supports with communication of workplace safety precautions. Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols for the facility. As the Facilities Manager you oversee, tests, records, and maintains emergency equipment in good working order. Ensures that historical preventive maintenance, downtime, is recorded on all mechanical equipment, including processed are audited for efficiencies and effectiveness, up kept and maintained.
When applicable work with the leasing and or building agent; including but not limited to strategic space planning targets, lease negotiations, improvements, and executions. Collaborate with operations, other teams. Support and contribute to Green Initiatives. Responsible for the safety, efficiencies, effectiveness, upkeeping, health, environment of the indoor and outdoor of the campus.. Evaluates, recommends, monitors facility vendors.
As the Facilities manager you oversee the purchase of parts and supplies according to business needs and approved budget guidelines. Identifies specific employees for special recognition or those who may require coaching, to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Leveraging organization skills, problem solving, and creative thinking they resolve escalated issues, drive continuous process improvement and team development in a dynamic environment. Support with other job duties as needed. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, vendors, and others. Always represent the company in a positive and supportive manner.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications needed in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferredExperience working around conveyors, pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills and industrial electrical systems; required.Electrical 480V knowledge and working experience is required.Basic Welding knowledge and or experience is required.PLC experience a plusRobotics experience a plusWork Experience:
Experience in implementing a professional facilities and maintenance structure.3+ years’ experience supervising the maintenance and or facilities functions of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.5+ years’ experience in distribution or manufacturing maintenance, facilities, is required.Knowledge and or working experience with automation.Working Knowledge and hands on experience of OSHA requirements for facilities areas, and or tasksSkills/Competencies:
