Higher Resolve is proud to represent a prestigious Stellenbosch winery in their search for a Facilities Manager!

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the entire estate infrastructure. This includes everything from roads and fencing to electrical systems, water treatment, and buildings. You’ll lead a team and oversee maintenance projects, ensuring everything is in top condition and functioning efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the facilities budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Respond swiftly to emergencies and coordinate repairs. Manage maintenance schedules for mechanical, HVAC, water, and electrical systems. Supervise outsourced maintenance contractors. Champion health and safety by coordinating training, audits, and recordkeeping. Provide daily leadership and instruction to your team. Maintain accurate computer records and liaise with contractors. Motivate and guide your team to achieve high performance. Ensure adherence to work instructions, safety regulations, and quality standards. Oversee vehicle and plant maintenance, cleanliness, and logbooks. Manage fire protection equipment. Operate light and heavy machinery. Maintain and control facility supplies. Supervise staff outside regular hours when required. Conduct routine preventative maintenance and document all procedures. Train staff on equipment, procedures, and safety protocols. Ensure cleaning staff adhere to company standards.
