The Facilities Manager manages budgets, facility capital projects and daily facility service requests for the Teledyne Scientific & Imaging sites in Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, California, with the home office located in Thousand Oaks. The Facilities Manager works closely with EH&S team to support all Facilities and EH&S activities and is a key member of the Emergency Response Team and the Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Team. Interfaces with a variety of stakeholders across the business at geographically dispersed, supported locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage and approve facilities budgets, expenditures, material order requests, requisitions, purchase orders and invoicing
Define Capital Project Requests (CPRs) with input from stakeholders, submit the CPR and manage the process
Develop project schedule to cover project objectives efficiently working closely with the facilities engineers
Provide project management support for facility projects including: define scope of work, manage vendor bids, create schedule, coordinate and manage vendors, and manage project execution through completion
Manage facilities service requests through completion
Manage execution of office moves and building improvements
Conduct building and ground inspections, identify and manage items needing repair or maintenance
Organize and develop database processes, SharePoint development and implementation
Responds to and remediates facility failures on a 24/7 basis
Supervises administrative facilities staff
Qualifications & Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
Facilities management experience in a technical, manufacturing and R&D high profile facility
Extensive experience with computerized database systems
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally and in written form with a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated customer service excellence
Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multitask and run several projects simultaneously, ability to organize and prioritize assignments
Highly responsive to customer requests; ability to quickly follow up on and execute multiple actions simultaneously
Ability to perform and manage project assignments using independent judgment and personal initiative
Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s Degree and two (2) years in a facilities operations and construction and management environment, or four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in a facilities operations and management environment
Other Qualifications:
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
Ability to travel between the work sites in Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, California
Salary Range:
$74,800.00-$99,880.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
