\n \n Job Description

We seek an experienced Facilities Manager who can perform physical inspections and provide excellent customer service. Duties include:

\n\nCommunicate with and oversee the association's contractors.\nMaintain, monitor, and repair building elements and grounds. \nPerform routine maintenance including minor, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating and carpentry work.\nAssist the community. manager with completing resident requests in a timely manner.\nWork with, complete or assign maintenance technician tasks to be completed.\nInspect/Maintain the building, grounds, and public areas to comply with all required codes. \nOrder adequate parts and equipment for corrective maintenance of vital systems.\nPrep association buildings for changing weather; removal of snow and treatment of ice on walks and steps in inclement weather.\nOrganize and plan building improvement projects.\nServe as primary on call contact for emergency calls after-hours.\n\n Requirements

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong problem solving, organizational and leadership skills; ability to multi-task and work unsupervised; self-starter. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds. Strong attention to detail. Basic understanding of budgetary and finance principles focused on strategic cost savings for current and future needs. Must be able to handle the physical components of the role. Advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems. Preferably a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential or equivalent. Familiarity with old, architecturally distinct buildings.

Must be able to complete a background check, have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
