Title: Facilities Manager Location: Brisbane, CA About Us: Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA), is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly creative, passionate, and motivated Facilities Manager to help drive the success of our innovative teams. This individual will bring experience and technical expertise in managing Maintenance and Facility operations. This role requires the ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail to ensure employee satisfaction. Must be able to deal with conflict while maintaining professionalism and focus on the project goals. This person will have the opportunity to grow our company culture and manage our office to help us be a more effective organization. Responsibilities: * Actively ensure company compliance with all Federal, State and local permits, licenses, and safety regulations. * They will be the main point of contact with property management for service repairs and maintenance. * Liaise and cultivate working relationships with vendors such as building security, building engineers, HVAC, electrical, janitorial staff, maintenance, etc. * Ensure the overall office is organized, clean, and operates smoothly to create a positive employee experience. * Represent and influence culture in the office by building relationships and supporting employees. * Contribute to space planning efforts to optimize office layout and seating arrangements in line with business leads. Maintain database of project floor plans, space assignments, occupancy, and vacancies. * Coordinate with building emergency team and manage CPR and AED certification and trainings. * Assist with monitoring expenses through invoice approvals. * Source, manage, and maintain relationships with facilities vendors. * On-site setup and support for all internal events. Manage all-hands space for meetings and events. * Safety and security: Manage badge creation, along with on-boarding and off-boarding for new hires. Oversee office activity and monitoring through security cameras. * Manage shipping & receiving and office supplies. * Ensure coffee, refreshments, snacks and paper goods are all stocked and replenished consistently across our facility. * Ergonomic liaison for onsite employees. * Manage facilities intranet page and update regularly and lead internal communication between office and facilities with facilities email updates. * Manage all facilities requests: verbal, email, or messaging. * Oversee IIPP program in partnership with HR, and the emergency plan to ensure understanding and adoption by all personnel and maintain required records. * Administer AED inspections and maintenance, as well as First Aid supply cabinet replenishment. * Ensure appropriate fire extinguisher inspections are coordinated. Qualifications: * Associate or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent. * 4+ years' experience and a proven track record managing facilities in Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industries. * Experience implementing and managing Companywide OSHA, EH&S and other environmental compliance programs. * In-depth experience with the set-up/design, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment in a Biotechnology industry setting. * Exceptional organization and prioritization skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly developing PowerPoint slides and excel budgets to articulate project spending and progress. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research team. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $97,000 - $122,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
