Facilities Plumber/Power Plant Operator (Onsite)
**Job Description** Performs a variety of complex Plumbing and Pipefitting duties including but not limited to: installations, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Also performs local oversight of contractors and coordinates in-house skilled trades during construction and maintenance projects. Additional duties may include performing a variety of complex maintenance task to include, but not limited to: Gas, #2 Oil Fired Steam Boilers, Water Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Evaporative Condensers, Closed and Open loop water systems, Condensate Stations, Air Compressors, Dryers, Pressure Vessels, Vacuum Pumps, Water Heaters, CDA Systems, Blow Down, Water Treatment, Fuel Systems and Treatment, Chemical Feed, Safety Valves, Pressure Reducing Stations, Chilled & Hot Water Pumps, Glycol Systems, Energy Conservation, Maintains a state of the art room and process all with digital log analysis / results, Performs preventive maintenance such as cleaning, painting and lubricating equipment following established procedures. Maintains boiler rooms and all associated equipment rooms in world-class condition 1. Installs and maintains various types of systems including but not limited to: fire protection, process chemical, waste treatment, process steam heat, vacuum, potable water, hydronic, cooling, deionized water, compressed air, process and high purity gases, domestic and process waste and cryogenics. 2. Works with a variety of materials consisting of but not limited to: PVC, CPVC, polypropylene, PVDF, Teflon, steel (standard, stainless, galvanized, welded, Victaulic) copper (brazed and soldered, Victaulic) fiberglass, etc. 3. May perform some of the duties of a Power Plant Mechanic. 4. Interprets blueprints, schematics and descriptive literature. 5. Interfaces with local project management, plant engineering, and contractors to obtain, furnish and/or exchange information as necessary for efficient and effective completion of required project tasks. Guide, instruct and direct activities of assigned trades and contractors. Plans and lays out new jobs and renovate or alter old equipment to assure project is correct and complete for proper operation. Responsible for ensuring all work performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings & specifications and applicable codes. 6. May be required to participate on special teams including but not limited to: snow removal, emergency response and must be responsive to off-hour emergencies. 7. May be required to clean and service equipment that may contain hazardous substances and to participate in the sorting and accumulation of hazardous waste materials in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. 8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Requires a High School diploma or GED and a minimum State of New Hampshire or Massachusetts Masters Plumbing License, Gas Fitters license + Commercial/Industrial experience in the mechanical trades. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Familiar with Microsoft Office, OSHA Training, experience in Industrial Fire sprinkler systems. Familiar with medical grade clean gas piping requirements and black flow preventer testing and maintenance with licensing. + 2nd Class Engineers License (or Equivalent). + A minimum of (5) years of experience in a commercial / industrial boiler plant and a state of NH Gas Service Technicians License. + Power Plant Operator/Boiler Operator/Steam Systems experience. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $65666 - $111654 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
