Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Manage the planning and implementation of facilities & shop construction, renovation, modification, and repair projects, including schedules and financials.Prioritize workload, establish, and meet aggressive timelines for project completion.Provide customers with regular communications including progress updates and issue resolution.Coordinate internal trades resources and contractors for project execution.Perform administrative duties in a timely manner including preparing and reviewing work scope bids, generating cost estimates and timelines, issuing purchase orders and receipts, ordering material, and tracking of change orders.Schedule project support requests using the MAXIMO work order system.Process EHS required permits such as excavation, confined space, roof access, and lift plans etc. and schedule utility outages required to perform project related work.Coordinate asbestos abatement or lead paint removal in support of any projected related activities. Work with EHS, GE trades, and contractors to post building notifications, schedule air monitoring and sampling, and perform all pre-job and post-job inspections and clearances.Work with internal production customer cell and operations leaders, facilities team members, GE internal trades, and site building occupants to plan and coordinate project deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

AAS college degree in construction or project management or engineering discipline.Have a minimum of five years of experience in the construction or project management field.Effective communication skills both verbal and written.Computer Skills. Microsoft Office suite of programs and AutoCad.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction or project management, or engineering discipline.Have a minimum of seven years of experience in the construction field including proven ability to scope, estimate, and oversee construction type projects.Working knowledge of NYS building codes, NFPA 70E, and Lean concepts.Ability to drive innovation, execute plans and to think creatively.Able to adapt to constantly changing work assignments and fast paced work environment.Prior experience leading teams and projectsComputer Skills. Microsoft Office suite of programs including MS Project and a working knowledge of AutoCad.

The base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - 120,400.00 USD Annual.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
