**Job Title: Facilities Specialist** **Job Description** The Facilities Specialist will use their knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, construction, and electrical work to maintain a functional building for employees. Their job is to work closely with others to respond to maintenance requests throughout the facility. **Responsibilities** + Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems + Checking and responding to security and safety issues + Testing and recommending new maintenance products + Coordinating activities with vendors and suppliers + Executing minor repairs (fixing flooring, drywall, plaster, and painting) + Keeping documents of inspections and problems + Maintaining an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies **Essential Skills** + Experience with HVAC systems and vendor management (ideally 10 years) + Facilities maintenance expertise **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Computer experience with spreadsheets and inventory software + Construction skills (e.g., carpentry, painting, plumbing) + Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues + Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records, and scheduling maintenance + Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move, and handle equipment + Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking + Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues + Organizational and time management skills **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic start-up in the biopharma industry that values innovation and growth. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional on-call duties. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Redwood City, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
