Facilities Superintendent opening in the Boston, MA, Back Bay neighborhood. Candidate will be responsible for light maintenance, janitorial services, and snow removal. Having an understanding of how mechanics work is required.

Work schedule:
Specific days depend on trash days.
(3) days, 6:30am – 2:30pm
(2) days, 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Scheduled On Call for snow removal by the Associa OnCall team.

Job description:

\n\nWalk and inspect the community, fix and repair where needed, change out light bulbs.\nJanitorial and maintenance: pick up trash, take the trash our from each unit, clean, vacuum, sweep, elevators landing, polish brass, pressure clean courtyard, paint fences, etc.\nShovel snow during winter months.\nSchedule and coordinate maintenance contractors and vendors onsite.\nManage maintenance contractors and vendors onsite, ensuring they start and end at the approved times.\nInspect boilers, copper pipes, and HVAC systems. Diagnose the concern and call licensed contractor to fix.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

\n\nThere is no parking available.\nIt is encouraged to use the T or other means of transportation.\nCommunity is off the Green line and a 9 minute walk from the nearest T station.\n\n Requirements\n3+ years of building maintenance experience.\nUnderstanding of how mechanics work is required, s.a. boilers, copper pipes, and HVAC systems.\nCustomer focused, service driven, and team oriented.\nExcellent communication and follow-up skills.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, takes initiative, reliable and dependable.\n\n
