Facilities Supervisor
**Overview** The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the building and grounds, ensuring all facilities meet company standards and compliance requirements. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, management skills, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and staff leadership. **Schedule:** + Sunday: 6am - 3pm + Monday: 8:30am - 5:30pm + Tuesday: 1pm - 10pm + Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:30pm + Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm **Pay: $21.69/hr** The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. **401(k)** – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2024 Employee Benefits | Staff and Management Team Members (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/2024-Recruitment-Staff-Mgmt-11.6.23.pdf) **Key Responsibilities:** **Facility Maintenance and Operations:** + Supervise the maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management. + Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure they are in good working order and identify repair needs. + Coordinate repair tasks and improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. + Manage preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of facility equipment and reduce downtime. **Team Leadership:** + Lead and develop a team of maintenance personnel, including hiring, training, and managing performance. + Schedule staff shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the facility. + Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to health and safety protocols and company policies. **Budget and Inventory Management:** + Develop and manage the facilities budget, including costs for maintenance, materials, and labor. + Monitor expenditure and implement cost-saving measures where possible. + Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary resources are available for maintenance and operations. **Vendor and Contractor Management:** + Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for services that cannot be completed in-house. + Negotiate contracts and supervise the work of external service providers to ensure quality and value for services rendered. **Compliance and Safety:** + Ensure that all facilities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and environmental, health, and safety standards. + Handle emergency situations or breakdowns by coordinating rapid and effective responses. + Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. **Communication and Reporting:** + Report regularly to the Facilities Manager on the status of facilities and any current or potential issues. + Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related concerns from within the organization. **Qualifications:** + Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. + Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in facility management software; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. **Working Conditions:** + Typically works in an office setting but may be required to visit various facilities sites, which could include outdoor work. + Must be able to respond to emergencies as needed, which may include off-hours availability.
