We now have an opportunity to recruit a Facilities Supervisor to be based at our manufacturing plant in Havant, Hampshire (PO9 2NB).
Reporting to our Global Services UK Real Estate Manager, and working closely with our local Site Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Supervisor for Havant will oversee the day-to-day operations of facility management, ensuring buildings, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant UK regulations. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with external contractors, managing budgets, and implementing preventative maintenance schedules. This role will also play a leading role in ensuring a clean, secure, and efficient working environment for all site-based personnel.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Facilities Supervisor for Havant will have responsibility for:
Planning and organizing facilities tasks using CMMS, including planned and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of assets. Overseeing performance of external contractors and in-house maintenance staff. Conducting regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage emergency repairs promptly and efficiently, serving as the first point of contact for critical issues. Driving the performance of maintenance and facilities team, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and completed to a high standard. Supporting the development of the team, both through regular training, and performance reviews and goal-setting. Ensuring cost-effective use of resources and budgets, including tracking expenditure, consumables, and managing maintenance stock levels Managing relationships and coordinating vendors, external contractors, and other service providers, to ensure performance and compliance Ensuring all facilities are compliant with health and safety regulations, including fire safety, COSHH, and electrical safety standards. Oversee emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans and drills. Maintaining comprehensive reports and documentation relating to all facilities maintenance activities, site certifications and SOPs, risk assessments, permits, and other associated records. Supporting continuous improvement activities across facilities operations to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and drive sustainability. Any other ad hoc duties as required by local or country leadership. Background & SkillsWe would expect applicants to demonstrate:
Proven experience in facilities management or maintenance supervision, alongside relevant qualifications in building services, facilities management, or a similar related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3, BIFM Level 4). Technical expertise in areas such as electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, or general maintenance. Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety regulations (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH certification preferred). Commercial astuteness and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in facilities management software and tools, CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System) Proven ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
