The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of buildings, equipment, and grounds of the organization they work for. They coordinate repairs, enforce safety measures, and manage facility vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary.

1.    Facilities Oversight (60%):

Responsible/Manages Grand Prairie, TX building(s) ensuring general building maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and ensures optimal functionality of all critical building, systems including but not limited to:All Building structures (roof, walls, floors)HVAC SystemsUtility Systems (water, sewer, electric)Storm water systemsProcess waste systemsGrounds (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, greenery, lighting, signage)Site Security (fences, gates, surveillance, alarms, locks)Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.

2.    Safety Systems & Infrastructure Oversight (15%):

Ensure 100% availability on critical safety systems including by not limited to:Fire suppression & alarm systemsPortable Fire ExtinguishersEyewash stations & safety showersEnsure plant egress routes and evacuation maps are maintained and up-to-dateMaintain certification of plant lifting systems (cranes & unloaders)

3.    Schedule Coordination (15%):

Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with outside contractors.Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.Maintain accurate facility records and prepare reports for management.

4.    Vendor Management (10%):

Manages outside vendor services in support of maintenance, upkeep, repair and upgrades of buildings and operations

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree (Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Management, Business Management or related field) Equivalent combination of education and experience to include a minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience in progressively responsible positionsSix Sigma or Lean (experience or certification) preferred 

Travel Requirement: 

Must be able to travel up to 10%. 

Physical Requirements:

Must pass pre-employment physical. Lift:   Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Push/Pull:  Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.  Stand:  Must be able to stand 80% of the day.Sitting:  Must be able to sit 20% of the day.Twisting/Bending:  Must be able to twist/bend 50% of the day. Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling:  Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 20% of the day.
