**Job Title: Facilities Technician/HVAC**
**Job Description**
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for loading and unloading equipment, performing basic preventative maintenance, and making minor repairs to ensure equipment downtime is minimized. This role involves ensuring the safest and most effective methods are used in these tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load and unload equipment safely.
+ Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
+ Conduct minor repairs on various equipment types.
+ Maintain and repair Power/HVAC/Compressor/Pump equipment and accessories.
+ Utilize knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, HVAC, and Diesel driven Pumps.
+ Understand and apply operational processes and systems.
+ Meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 25 pounds or more.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of experience with Power/HVAC/Compressor/Pump equipment and accessories maintenance.
+ Basic knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, HVAC, Diesel driven Pumps, diesel equipment, electronics, and hydraulics.
+ Operational process/system aptitude.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ EPA Universal certification.
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Preventative maintenance experience.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and electronics.

**Work Environment**
You will initially work in a shop at the Virginia Beach location and later at the Newport News Shipyard/HII to help maintain rental HVAC equipment. The role involves working indoors and outdoors as required.
