**Business Unit Overview**
8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
**Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
Our 8th Avenue Facilities Technician role is responsible to provide support to the maintenance, production and shipping/receiving groups for the preventative and corrective maintenance, repair, and installation of all activities at all Attune Foods Eugene facilities.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
Perform on going preventive maintenance and repair work on facility and installed systems. Maintains, operates all HVAC & utilities systems and monitor the building automation system. Perform general maintenance (e.g. change light bulbs, maintain exterior property including snow removal, etc.) and facility repairs as needed. Respond to all facility related emergencies, including but not limited to fire alarms, HVAC system alarms, security alarms, etc. Perform facility inspections, prepare and submit reports of conditions in the building and recommend actions to be taken. Daily pass-down of information to Maintenance Team and Management. Accurately execute preventive maintenance schedules as well as inform management of problem areas within their area. Responsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed. Other duties, as assigned. Education & Experience Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
**Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:**
One year in facility maintenance and / or construction Familiarity with basic tools used in construction, facilities management and industrial maintenance. A general knowledge of building & facility maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in some or all the following: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems. Must exhibit sound judgment, tact, courtesy on a daily basis, and have excellent rapport with staff members. Possess a valid OR driver’s license. Good computer user skills, experience with computerized maintenance management systems a plus
**Physical Requirements:** Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, sit, and kneel for 4+ hours per shift. Must be able to balance for 8+ hours per shift. Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs for 8+ hours per shift. Must be able to climb/work off ladder and reach above shoulders for 4+ hours per shift. Must be able to work in a dusty environment, high heat, or humidity for 8+ hours per shift. Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds infrequently.
