What Production Set-up and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleansupminor chemicalspills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST


Qualifications

High school diploma/GED preferredUnderstanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPs preferredExperience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred

Responsibilities

Clean designated areas – sweep, mop, wax or buff floors, wash inside/outside windows, dust exposed ceilings, rafters, and overhead lightsConsolidate, move and dump trash into designated containers – operator compactor system, clean and maintain recyclable systemsUse a variety of mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, solutions, carts, ladders, power vacuum/cleaning equipment and power-driven cleaning equipment (company will administer certification to drive power operated equipment)Stock and replenish cleaning supplies Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at workFollow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow themParticipate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetingsComplete and remain up to date on required EH&S trainingFollow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and proceduresObserve all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performedReport all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditionsWork overtime as requiredOther duties as assigned with or without accommodation
