Facilities Technician **Location:** Ontario, CA **Pay Rate:** $23.90 per hour. **Positions Available:** + 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday) + 1st Shift (7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday) + On-Call: Every other weekend **Job Description:** We are seeking motivated and skilled Facilities Technicians to join our client's team. As a Facilities Technician, you will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across various systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled in others to effectively complete daily and weekly work assignments. **Job Responsibilities:** + Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on-site. + Ensure minimal disruption to client space during work and provide adequate clean-up. + Perform maintenance and repair on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility systems up to applicable standards. + Manage facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general technical proficiency. + Maintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies; develop sources for stock materials. + Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance. + Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment. + Comply with safety policies for hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace. + Review and address recurrent operational problems based on client service requests. + Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality and pricing; prepare and submit purchase orders. + Verify delivery accuracy for count, pricing, and description. + Monitor and manage maintenance work performed by outside contractors. + Lead or assist with event setup and teardown, including electrical and audio-visual coordination. + Perform any other duties as assigned. **Requirements/Qualifications:** + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. + Vocational/trade program completion preferred. + 2+ years of relevant experience. + Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent. + Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs (or within 90 days of employment). + Ability to analyze systems, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions. + Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel. + Strong communication skills. + Availability for call-in work. + Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
