\r\n\r\nOversees the proper operation of the company's HVAC, water plant, electrical, and other utility systems, including hands-on set-up, repair and maintenance as well as coordinating personnel and outside vendors. Additionally, this role will administer and facilitate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssists and/or trouble-shoots problems related to malfunctioning production machines or physical plant equipment\r\n\tActs as a technical repair & maintenance specialist for the facility, both in a hands-on and advisory capacity\r\n\tAssures proper operation of company’s HVAC, water plant, sprinkler, electrical and other utility systems\r\n\tWorks with leadership to create and complete TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tasks through all the departments\r\n\tWorks with all departments as a liaison to facilitate proper maintenance of the facility. Assists in the research and preparation of cost, schedule, and technical reports related to proposed facility modifications. Provides input and assists in coordinating facility modification projects\r\n\tWorks with outside vendors as the Facility Site Contractor Representative. Makes sure vendors are compliant with all safety procedures\r\n\tMonitor and report on code compliance of all company facilities and associated land. Obtain permits as required for continued operations and facility modifications\r\n\tRepresents physical plant on the EHS committee. Cost effective solutions to EHS concerns are identified and implemented in a timely fashion\r\n\tStrictly enforces safety procedures at facility and reports any observed safety violations in any department. \r\n\tHazard Recognition and Control: identify and work to control conditions or actions that may cause injury, illness, or property damage through inspections/audits, assess environmental, safety and health risks associated with equipment, materials, processes, facilities, or abilities\r\n\tHazardous Materials Management and Environmental Protection: ensure that chemicals, solvents, and other products are stored, used, and disposed in ways that prevent fires, unnecessary exposure, or harm to employees and the environment from these substances\r\n\tWorks with management to identify, analyze, address and correct hazards throughout the facility\r\n\tPrepare and submit applicable environmental reports as required\r\n\tWork with local environmental regulatory agencies to monitor and ensure compliance and prepare for regulatory audits\r\n\tPerform rounds, and inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and proper functionality, etc.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis is Full Time Temp to Hire opportunity.

The ideal Facilities Technician candidate will have:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMinimum 6+ years of experience with knowledge of operational procedures and tools with emphasis on facilities and equipment maintenance\r\n\tPrevious experience with Environmental Health and Safety regulations desired\r\n\tVocational or Technical education preferred\r\n\tAbility to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment problems\r\n\tAbility to work effectively with local, state, and national regulatory agencies such as DEP, EPA, OSHA, etc.\r\n\tKnowledge of engineering and design disciplines related to construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery and facilities used in the manufacture and coating of optical elements\r\n\tProject management skills with the ability to coordinate internal and external resources\r\n\tStanding. Particularly for sustained periods of time. 50 - 75% of the time.\r\n\tWalking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.\r\n\tKneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.\r\n\tStooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles. \r\n\tGrasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.\r\n\tLifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles\r\n\r\n\r\nPay Rate: $34 per hour
\r\n\r\nPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
