**Facilities Technician** **Entry Level** **Pay Rate: $18-20/HR depending on experience and interview** **Oakland Park, FL** **Job Overview** We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting general maintenance and repairs in the plant and shop, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and machine work. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our equipment and facilities. **Responsibilities** + Conduct machine maintenance on CNC machines, Mills, and Lathes. + Perform preventive maintenance work, including basic industrial electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs. + Assist with crating machines, including carpentry work, fastening down machines, and preparing them for shipping. + Install, modify, and maintain equipment. + Maintain plant buildings, equipment, and machinery. + Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety. + Maintain and clean equipment and shop area. **Qualifications** + Facilities maintenance experience. + Forklift operation experience. + Mechanical aptitude and repair skills. + Electrical knowledge. + Ability to read and comprehend English. + High School degree or equivalent. + Excellent math skills. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Experience with painting. + Preventive maintenance knowledge. + Carpentry skills. + Proficiency with hand tools. **Why Work Here?** Join a long-standing company with over 100 years of business history. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a 40-hour work week and the possibility of 1-5 hours of overtime. Employees must wear steel-toed boots and have their own hand tools.
