About the role:

The primary role of this position is to provide facilities support for the Hach Romeoville facility. Reporting to the EHS Manager, this position identifies problems and implements corrective actions leading to continuous improvements. This role is responsible for general facilities maintenance including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment, to include preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Weekends and overtime may be required.)

Your day to day will look like:

Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of equipment to ensure operational efficiency. 

Plan, coordinate, and document maintenance schedules, infrastructure activities, and contractor management. 

Ensure compliance with regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards in all activities. 

Assist with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability initiatives, including training associates. 

Provide tools, jigs, and fixtures, and oversee their implementation for process improvements. 

Participate in Kaizen events and recommend improvement projects to enhance operations. 

Research, design, trial, and implement engineered work cells to optimize workflows. 

Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and drill presses to support maintenance and improvement tasks. 

Are you qualified?

HS Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates Degree in related field preferred (technical degree or trade degree programs)

1 or more years related experience (i.e.: maintenance, mechanical installation, etc. as it relates to the job) in an appropriate manufacturing, engineering, or facility environment depending on area of focus.

Experience with EHS policies/procedures preferred.

Proven ability to troubleshoot/problem solve in a structured, logical manner, performing or coordinate preventive maintenance activities

Previous project/ contractor management experience and proven success prioritizing task-based activities to be completed in timely manner.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $26.25 - $26.25 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
