Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a Facilities Technician with an Engineering Associate or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining process equipment, facilities, and support utilities. This role requires a proactive approach to managing facility needs, ensuring equipment is in good condition through preventive maintenance and calibration programs.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain process equipment, facilities, and support utilities.Manage facility, mechanic, and automation needs.Ensure facility and process-related equipment are maintained in good condition by following regular preventive maintenance and calibration programs.Supervise, perform, and manage various activities related to general upkeep and housekeeping of the facility.Manage waste disposal and coordinate waste disposal activities with external vendors.Maintain preventive maintenance and calibration schedules through the Quality Management System (QMS) and coordinate with external vendors.Actively participate in evaluating all safety issues related to facility and equipment operations.Conduct daily facility rounds and checks.Follow all standard operating procedures related to facility, utility, and process equipment.Maintain appropriate logs and documentation related to facility and utilities.Support the Quality Assurance department with investigation activities related to facility or utilities.Manage all annual external agency walkthroughs and inspections, such as fire, boiler, and hazardous material inspections.Manage maintenance and remote monitoring of critical temperature and humidity alarm systems.Manage external support contractors and vendors related to facility and utilities.Essential SkillsEngineering Associate or Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry.Experience in maintaining preventive maintenance and calibration schedules through a Quality Management System.Experience with the maintenance and remote monitoring of critical temperature and humidity alarm systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting, data center management, and rack and stack operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of process equipment, calibration, facilities management, waste disposal, quality management systems, hazardous material handling, inspection, utilities maintenance, and automation.Work Environment

The work environment involves managing and maintaining facilities and support utilities in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry. The role requires coordination with external vendors and support contractors. The candidate will be involved in conducting daily facility rounds, managing waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory inspections. The position includes remote monitoring of critical temperature and humidity alarm systems. The dress code is professional and appropriate for a technical and industrial setting.
