Description:
The Building Maintenance Specialist performs internal and external building maintenance on equipment building and grounds.
Responsibilities:
The following duties reflect key responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
•\tReplace lights ceiling tiles and make minor repairs to walls including patching/painting.
•\tConduct and record monthly preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC units security systems and other building equipment.
•\tWorks with forklifts power tools hand tools rooftop HVAC units air compressors vacuum systems pumps alarm systems humidifiers and generators.
•\tConfer with department management to coordinate activities of individual departments including office moves furniture layouts and addressing comfort heating and cooling issues.
•\tWork with property management to address tenant and exterior space maintenance needs.
•\tPrimary contact after hours for building security problems and/or building emergencies.
•\tMonitor and adjust BAS Systems on various sites.
•\tPerforms multiple tasks including plumbing carpentry electrical and grounds keeping.
•\tThe ability to work outdoors in hot/humid or cold conditions is essential to this position. The ability to work in small spaces is also required.
•\tThis job may have some on-call 24 x 7 x 365 expectations including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:
•\t4 buildings on campus, will work with 2 other techs, and 1 facilities manager
•\t7 AM-3:30 PM M-F, the opportunity to move to 4x10
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
