Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Facilities Technician. The hourly rate for this position starts at $21.41 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a **Facilities Technician** to join our team. This position is based at our Olean, NY Location. **Position Overview:** The Facilities Technician’s primary function of this position is to coordinate facility activities in partnership with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). This function will be the primary contact for all facility related issues and complete facility maintenance projects to meet the EHS, Continuous Improvement (CI), Quality, and overall site improvements needed. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + In partnership with EHS and other management functions, participate in a wide-range of company projects and events as well as track all facilities inspections + Schedules and carries out refreshing of office areas throughout the site based on availability and need. This refreshing is to include but not limited to potential drywall repairs, trim/molding replacement, caulking, fixture adjustments and painting. + Schedules and performs prepping and painting of interior office and manufacturing areas throughout the site as well as preps and paints exterior areas that have fallen to disrepair. + Makes minor repairs on facility/building equipment. Includes office layout, renovations, light bulb changes, furniture moves, assembly and repair of furniture/equipment, ceiling tile replacements, filter changes, etc. + Vendor Management: + Manage relationships for all third-party vendors and contractors to effectively service the facility's major systems, furniture, and equipment. + Welcome and assist suppliers, vendors and contractors and perform contractor’s training as needed, + Major Systems & Equipment Use: + Incumbent assists with the operation and regulatory compliance of major building systems including Fire, Security, Janitorial, HVAC, Plumbing/Water, Boiler, Air, Network/IT, & Grounds + Operates scissor, boom and forklifts. + Provides support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution + Minimum of one (1) year of experience in drywall, repair, painting and use of power tools + Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. + No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Olean, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Minimum of two (2) years of experience in drywall, repair, painting and use of power tools + Minimum of two (2) years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, and renovations/refreshing + Knowledge of 6-Sigma and other problem-solving tools + Computer Skills: MS Office, CMMS (MVP preferred) and SAP + Excellent Interpersonal & Written Communication Skills + Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills **Skills:** + Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives. + Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision. + This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight – twelve hours. + Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures. + Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools. + Flexibility in shiftwork may be required to perform work at times when area is not occupied. + Ability to lift 35 lbs We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
