Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, drywall installation and patching, painting, and electrical troubleshooting. Additionally, you will maintain property grounds, oversee pool maintenance, and ensure the upkeep of common areas across multiple residential complexes.

ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, drywall installation and patching, painting, and electrical troubleshooting.Maintain property grounds, including landscaping, trash removal, and cleanliness of common areas.Oversee pool maintenance, including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment repair.Conduct concrete repairs, light carpentry, and other structural upkeep as needed.Respond to and resolve work orders in a timely manner.Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.Assist with turnovers, ensuring units are ready, including minor repairs, painting, and deep cleaning.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies used.Collaborate with the onsite Property Manager to prioritize and manage daily tasks.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Essential SkillsProven experience in property maintenance or a similar role.Proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall, grounds keeping, and pool maintenance.Ability to diagnose and repair common maintenance issues.Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical skillsCarpentry skillsBuilding maintenance experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional weekend work required for onsite projects or emergencies. You will support the maintenance needs across three complexes in San Jose, ranging from 40 to 80 units each. Candidates must be willing to work at all three locations as needed, but will be scheduled a full day at each site when required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
