Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician for a long-term contract-to-hire position. This role requires individuals with a handyman background and excellent soft skills to interact with clients. While previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, and general maintenance is highly desired, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate must have experience using various hand and power tools, all of which will be provided.

ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, and cleaning.Use hand and power tools to carry out maintenance and repair tasks.Interact professionally with clients and maintain a good rapport.Work individually and as part of a team of 7 members.Be on call every 7th week to respond to issues at any time, including weekends.Essential SkillsExperience with hand and power tools.Facilities maintenance and janitorial experience.Basic electrical skills such as changing lights and minor wiring.Plumbing skills.Painting and patching skills.Clean driving record with less than 2 infractions in the last 5 years.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of blueprint reading.General labor experience.Ability to maintain facilities and perform cleaning tasks.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will primarily cover downtown offices/buildings and the Boise Outlet Mall, ensuring the facilities are well-maintained and clean. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime. You will be on call every 7th week, responsible for addressing issues over the weekend, and contacting senior technicians or contractors if needed. This responsibility will begin after approximately 90 days on assignment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
