Facilities Technician
**Industry Leading Manufacturing Company URGENTLY hiring a Facilities Technician!!** **Apply today and a recruiter will reach out to you with more information!!** **Located in Congers, NY** **Pay: $25-$32 an hour** **Shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday** **Job Description** As a Facilities Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of facility machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs. You will also be responsible for cleanroom cleaning and basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC work. Your role will involve collaborating with outside vendors and contractors to complete construction projects and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. **Responsibilities** + Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices. + Regulate and shut down equipment during emergency situations or as directed by supervisory personnel. + Ensure the operation of facility machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. + Troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repairs, and evaluate new equipment and techniques. + Operate a variety of material handling equipment requiring proper testing and licensing. + Coordinate and assist with departmental and employee operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes. + Document actions by completing maintenance logs and checklists. + Maintain supplies by checking stock, anticipating, and requesting needed supplies. + See construction projects through correctly, on time, and to a high standard. + Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is correct and complete. + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems using precision measuring tools and equipment. + Perform cleanroom cleaning following proper documentation and schedules. + Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC work and repairs. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations, and reporting any dangerous situations or malfunctioning equipment. + Utilize company vehicles by maintaining vehicle safety and condition, protecting loads by complying with organizational policies and procedures, and following highway rules and regulations. **Essential Skills** + Electrical maintenance + Facilities maintenance + HVAC maintenance + Repair and troubleshooting skills + Mechanical aptitude + Ability to communicate with executives, peers, and team members + Ability to work with minimal supervision + Understanding and maintaining proper documentation + Experience with material handling equipment and shop tools **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repair experience + Experience with cleanroom cleaning procedures + Ability to operate material handling equipment + Proper testing and licensing for operating specific equipment **APPLY TODAY!!** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
