The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Responsibilities

The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the building and its mechanical systems. This position is responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our building occupants.

 

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems (e.g., filters, belts, chillers, cooling towers), electrical systems (e.g., wiring, lighting, panels), plumbing systems (e.g., pipes, fixtures, drains), and other building systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Routine Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as changing filters, lubricating equipment, repairing minor leaks, and replacing light bulbs. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with building plumbing, electrical, hvac systems and equipment. Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the building grounds, including landscaping and general upkeep. Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for building system malfunctions or other facility-related issues. Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with 2 years of experience preferred. Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures. Moderate knowledge of building maintenance. Good oral and written communication skills.
