**Job Title: Facilities Technician 1** **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent Facilities Technician 1 to join our team. This role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment, performing defined tasks independently, and ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. **Responsibilities** + Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts. + Assist in maintenance and repair efforts, performing defined tasks independently. + Support the operations team in maintaining and repairing building and equipment. + Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems. + Conduct minor plumbing repairs. + Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance. + Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. + Perform facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions impacting client occupancy and operations. + Inspect and repair assigned property interior and exterior areas including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. + Respond effectively to all emergencies. + Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure the safety of work areas. + Recognize and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards. + Maintain compliance with provincial, county, or city ordinances, codes, or laws. + Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. + Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Document work performance and materials procurement as directed. + Perform other operational tasks as typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. + Competent computer skills. + Valid driver's license. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable. + Trade licenses are a plus. + Experience working in a commercial building. + Possession of basic tools. **Why Work Here?** Join a team committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Work is conducted in a structured environment with a focus on safety and compliance. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Florence, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
