Job Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the complete maintenance of the facilities. This position assists in the organization, planning, and direction of maintenance and mechanical operations. Additionally, the Facilities Technician will aid in the planning, design, and supervision of new building construction and renovation programs. Key duties include performing routine maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and overall building conditions are maintained. The role involves inspecting and diagnosing problems, and determining the best way to correct them to provide a well-maintained, safe, and comfortable environment for all reentrants, clients, and staff members.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the organization, planning, and direction of maintenance and mechanical operations.Plan, design, and supervise new building construction and renovation programs.Perform routine maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.Inspect and diagnose problems, determining the best way to correct them.Maintain overall building conditions to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.Essential SkillsGeneral knowledge of construction and building trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and kitchen equipment maintenance.Experience in organizing and supervising maintenance activities.Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.3 years of related experience, preferably in a residential or treatment setting.Valid driver’s license.Act 33/34 clearances.Additional Skills & QualificationsHVAC, plumbing, backflow, and electrical certifications preferred.Formalized training in building trades and maintenance services preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work schedule includes Sunday through Thursday from 6am to 2pm, Monday through Thursday from 10am to 6pm (evening) or 9am to 5pm, with on-call duties once a month. Overtime is available with a 4-hour minimum and double time pay. The technician will be responsible for four buildings, all within walking distance. The locations include 326 Third Avenue, 339 Boulevard of the Allies, 704 Second Avenue, and 700 Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
