Job DescriptionThe Facilities Technician II will have experience in facilities and utilities in a GMP environment and will be able to work with minimal supervision. They will provide oversight and management of projects and construction. Will be required to be available for quick response to all building related emergencies. Flexibility is a must as priorities can and will change. Utilities include: power generator, electrical system, HVAC BMS system, security system, etc. This role is based in our San Diego office, 5 days a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for heating, ventilation & air conditioning issues/repairs (HVAC)Implements the design of offices, and production lines in order to maximize the use of available space and improve production efficiencyResearches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs.Ensures that established safety targets are met.Building maintenance including janitorial.Building Access and securityThird party vendor relationsQualifications5 years’ experience in the facilities and/or maintenance trades, or related fields a plus. Knowledge and safe use of hand and power toolsTechnical competence in sustaining electrical and mechanical systemsKnowledge and application of codes, OSHA and energy efficiency requirements to facilities projectsWorking knowledge Microsoft OfficeWork Environment:
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Some travel required. Good attitude and team player a must!
Additional InformationThe US hourly range for this full-time position is $24.61 to $38.63. The range does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
