Job description

Oversee engineering, design and installation phases of new equipment, line upgrades, and other capital projects. Manage the preventative/predictive maintenance and Maintenance Work Order Systems. Ability to create and manage budgets related to Capital equipment, facility, repair, Maintenance and labor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for engineering, design, and modification/installation of existing and/or new (capital) equipment including industrial Automation SystemsDevelop detailed plans for new processes and implementationsDevelop and manage the plant Capital and Capacity plans ensuring on time and within budgetHire, train and manage Engineers and Engineer Techs, to assist in process improvementsOversee construction and repair projectsDevelop and maintain Total Product Maintenance Program In alignment with Cornerstone Production Systems Maintenance PillarResponsible for driving continuous improvement in Key Maintenance Metrics through:Accurate data capture and reporting through CMMSPreventive Maintenance program for applicable equipment and machineryManage the work order system and Ensuring work requests are completed in a timely fashionAccurate and appropriate spare parts inventoryAdjusts maintenance programs to insure conformance with insurance policy requirementsPrepare budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as neededEnforce sound safety and housekeeping practicesSupport the plant achieving budgeted labor efficiency MPO/UPMHProvide technical support to ensure the factory is operating Safely, at the highest quality level and lowest possible costParticipates in interplant cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problemsCoach, counsel and manage performance of direct reportsResponsible for communicating daily with all levels of employees to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goalsPrepare work schedules, assign work, and oversees the work productAbility to manage multiple complex situations daily and deal with rapidly changing prioritiesLeads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintain compliance with established policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with federal and state lawsTravel: up to 10%Provide leadership to all shifts of team members with communication  escalations and weekend presence as neededAll other duties, as assigned Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering, Facility Maintenance or related field required8+ years of experience in an Engineering Management role3+ years people management experienceTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience is requiredExperience with Industrial Automation is requiredLean skills including Kaizen, Standardized Work, VSM and Six Sigma Green Belt is required, Black belt certification is a plusAdvanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams as well as CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)Strong data analysis skills and experience implementing strategic initiativesComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication skills, dependability and follow throughProven ability to effectively lead teams by successfully motivating and coaching others including strong follow through, communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skillsExperience implementing and driving Continuous Improvement activitiesKnowledge of safety regulations Certification by ASQ as a CQE, CQA, or CQM considered highly desirableBilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Additional information
